Entered the stage of defiance

As all toddlers go thru these stage, Esther at 19-20 months had started exhibiting these behaviors. She insist on doing exactly what we told her not to do or throw herself down on the floor in a fit of temper if she doesn't get her way. Even though certain actions are deemed as not safe, she still insist on doing them. When she want your attention, she will pull your finger so hard, that Mommy once clearly dislocated it.

At times, she look so cute and angelic, as she grasp certain actions and words, that make us proud and say is all worth it.

On the worst note, she can described as Dr Hyde and Mr Jekyll.

Esther hiked in Upper Seletar Reservoir

After paying Gong Gong a visit on his death anniversary, Esther went back to Upper Seletar, but in a walking phase. She fell down twice and bruised her knees. She even attempted to climb the viewing tower to the second floor, before Mommy took over.

 

Daddy bring Esther to School

On last Friday, Daddy got the chance to bring Esther to school, where she behaved well to allow Teacher Carol to do her temp checks, as well as let her hold her hands to wash her hands. After washing, Esther quietly sat down to enjoyed her breakfast by her self. Did not get to see the terrifying crying acts a month ago.

Ready to leave for home.

Weekend Escapade to Changi Village Hotel

Daddy sponsored Mommy and Esther for a weekend getaway at Changi Hotel, way in the corner of Singapore. Guess Esther enjoyed the most, playing and terrorizing in the room.

On the first day, we took a stroll along the Changi coast line, to a cooling breeze of the setting sun.

We squeezed in a night swim after the stroll on the top floor swimming pool.

Esther clutching tightly to Mommy, as we set ford on the bumboat to Palau Ubin.

It was a hot and dry afternoon hike, and Esther does not look pleased at all.

After a hot hike, it was back to the pool for a refreshing swim. Esther spent almost 1.5 hrs dipping in the pool.

At night, it was buffet with international fares and barbequed food. Esther is quite contented with a pc of bread.

Wedding Anniversary Dinner

As Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 12 years anniversary dinner at Ishikawa Japanese Restaurant, Esther is not left out.

Esther sulks

After bathing, Esther started twisting and turning, making Daddy very difficult to wear her diapers. So Daddy scolded Esther and she finally settled down. But she began to show a sulking face, with tears started to flood her iris. Yet Esther held strong and refused to cry.

Esther First Homework

Today we recieved Esther first Homework, a collection of cut shapes. We suspect the teacher must have helped her alot in finishing her work. 

Good Report from Grandmother

Grandma commented that eversince, she went to playgroup, she has been eating 8-9 meals a day. Though her weight stands at slightly above 25%, we are seeing increasing of arms bulk, shoulders width and fully cheeks. Still she is the slim, tall , healthy little darling girl that Jesus Loves

Esther Vocab is starting to flow with her actions

When Daddy wanted to bathe Esther, she literally pointed to the tub and repeatedly said "Bathe". After all the soaking, she said "Back", signalling Mommy to put the swoop back. Amen for longer sentences in the next few weeks.

Finally Grandfather is called

Esther finally acknowledged Grandfather by "Ye Ye" ! Grandfather is the last person standing, better late than never.
