Esther braved thru lots of blood to lose her first tooth.

Esther K2 2nd Half Report

Teacher's Feedback:

• English and Maths Foundation is good
• Forms good Sentences, and prompt to ask when unaware of spelling
• Esther is tasked by teacher to help a weaker student
• Understand maths Concepts well, and learn quickly using Modeling
• Esther need to be exposed more to books
• Esther can improve her writing skilss if she is given a short passage to write for 2-3 times a week
• Esther needs longer time to write out in sentences
• Esther completes her work faster than other kids
• Esther need to build up her confidence, as she does not put up her hand to volunteer even though she knows the answers
• Esther though shy, is helpful to others
• Esther is very caring and protective of Isaac, will look out for Isaac and take care of him.

• Esther Chinese speaking is not so smooth, and writing is not accurate.
• She will forget her remembered words
• However her fundamentals are not bad and not very good, needs to be monitored.

Read finished a book

Esther picked up the Mermaid book and read thru the whole book, attempted to pronouce most words she is not sure.

They conquered the Waterfront Bridge

Esther climbed it first, Isaac got inspired and follow suit, but both conquered the challenge.  Though coming down proved still an obstacle for boy, not for girl.

Sharing of Holy Communion

Left with only 2 paxs, Mommy suggested that only Esther and Isaac partake. Esther exclaimed that we can share, by breaking the bread into half and sharing the drink.

Kids do well at MaMa house

Both kids slept so well on the bed, that Mama complains abt their leg kicking.

On the 2nd FaceTime, Esther was cheery. 

Without Kiddos for 4 nights

Daddy and Mummy finally got to spend a overseas holiday in Bali away from the kids for the 2nd time in 6 years.

Esther did not take it too kindly, pleading to go with us for the past week. When we did a FaceTime back, Esther broke down after seeing us.

Esther drew a picture of a smiling girl in the garden with smiling birds and butterflies..she said she is the girl..Mummy is glad that she is a happy cheery girl :)

Esther's new bedtime routine

Daddy implemented a new bedtime routine for the kids. Esther will go to sleep at 10.30pm without watching her korean shows. Esther complained that she will not to get watch on weekdays nights of which daddy promptly and sternly replied that she has watched alot in the early evening..We will see how this works out.

Esther & Mummy at Cavalia

Esther and Mummy had a great time at Cavalia! Esther was so excited at every point of the performance. She also had a new found horse friend Bobby (which made mummy's purse lighter by $70)..She hugs Bobby and makes him gallop on her lap as the real horse perform on stage

Esther wins drawing contest

Esther won 2 tickets in her enrichment Eng class drawing contest. Her coloring of a normal horse turns into a flying Unicorn,  that sets her apart from the normal horses. Creativity and Favor won her 2 cavalia show tickets.

Esther accepted into Keming Pri

Jan & Elly English School

Esther went for a free assessment on her level of tuition needed. Esther surprised Mummy and me with her phonics knowledge, less the mix-ups in C,K and T sounds. Though afraid and shy, Esther managed to pull in a good performance to ready herself beyond the phonics needs into Creative writing.

She will have a trial class this Sunday afternoon.

Getting too emotional

Watching TVB drama of adopted son ill treating the immobile father, Esther got too emotional and cried herself to sleep, despite everyone calming her down

Ernest to perform for us

Esther was so worried that we are not coming to see her speech and drama class, that she ask Teacher Jane to remind us in the afternoon.

Esther received a Good Job on her performance up to date.

Esther Feeds the cats in the morning

Ever since yesterday, Esther took her own initiative to feed the cats, after hearing Chester loud meows. She took the cat food can from the fridge and scoop the food using Isaac's Spoon onto the feeding trays. The process is messy, but girl shows a big heart for the cats.

Isaac home with mummy

Isaac stayed home whole day with mummy recovering from fever and flu.. lazing around in the afternoon, after a long morning nap. Shadow stayed close to Isaac as he revised alphabets and words.

Esther's flair for piano

Esther is showing more interest in the piano songs that she plays.  She can count out loud, try new pieces without being prompted. Her favourite song for now is Mary has a little Lamb.  She is trying out new pieces London Bridge and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on her own too.

Waking up on time for school

Esther is waking up on time for school and kicking up less fuss in the preparations, since we re-introduced the milo drink during breakfast at home.  Esther now wants to wake up on time so that she can enjoy her milo drink while mama ties her hair into ponytail.

Isaac has also woke up on time for school today at Star Learners and let grandma prepare him without any fuss.  He also happily sits on the car seat while being buckled up and did not complain in the car journey to school.  He gave Teacher Zhang good eye contact in school and also gave her a hi-5.

Esther still appear shy towards piano teacher, as mentioned by herself.

Teacher Sheryl mentioned Esther is shy in class, would froze when questions were asked upon, even though she knew the answers. She is getting more and more mature.
